U.S. Armed Forces



What is The U.S. Armed Forces


The U.S. Armed Forces is the military forces that serve our country. These include the 5 branches of the military. They are the Air Force, the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard. Each one has its different use for the military. Many issues face all of these branches, including benefits, women and long deployments. Many colleges offer ROTC( Reserve Officers' Training Corps) to help people interested in these branches. 


The Air Force

The Air Force is the branch where mostly aviation is done. There are over 130 careers in this program. That includes piloting, surgeons and security forces specialist. The USAF (United States Air Force) is one of the power-fullest aviation programs in the world. The training for this is very intense. 



The Air Force offers many careers. A career many people have gone into is the Spec Ops( Special Operations).  Spec Ops is the the made up of 5 little branches. They are Combat Rescue Officer, Combat Control, Para-rescue, Spec Ops Weather Team and Tactical Air Control Party. Each one has its different uses and they are important on and off the battle field. Another career they offer is a Chaplain officer. A Chaplain officer is a religious officer and helps people fight through the war. There are many careers offered in the Air Force.

  3. This is great. I feel the military is a great way to get a running start into a profession. Maybe you can make a post about ranks or benefits or employers who often hire from the military veterans?

    It is a huge commitment, just like anything worthwhile. If you don't appreciate your country and desire to serve it, then the military is not for you.
