Aircraft Carriers- provides aviation

Assault Ships- deploy ground troops in remote locations

Cruisers- back up ships in battle, good for engaging multiple targets at one time

Combat Ships- fast and agile, used more for near shore combats

Destroyers- fast ships used for multi-missions

Frigates- warships built to defend other ships

Submarines- used for underwater operations, research, rescue and missions

                                                                What is the Army?

The Army is the branch where it makes up the other branches. The army is where recruiting and finding careers can happen. Some fighting is actually done in this branch. The training is slightly hard for this branch. The Army is always providing expeditionary land forces wherever and whenever they are required. Working in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Defense, the Army trains and equips Soldiers and creates leaders among them to rapidly respond when they are called upon to serve our Nation.

U.S. Armed Forces

What is The U.S. Armed Forces

The U.S. Armed Forces is the military forces that serve our country. These include the 5 branches of the military. They are the Air Force, the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard. Each one has its different use for the military. Many issues face all of these branches, including benefits, women and long deployments. Many colleges offer ROTC( Reserve Officers' Training Corps) to help people interested in these branches. 

The Air Force

The Air Force is the branch where mostly aviation is done. There are over 130 careers in this program. That includes piloting, surgeons and security forces specialist. The USAF (United States Air Force) is one of the power-fullest aviation programs in the world. The training for this is very intense. 

The Air Force offers many careers. A career many people have gone into is the Spec Ops( Special Operations).  Spec Ops is the the made up of 5 little branches. They are Combat Rescue Officer, Combat Control, Para-rescue, Spec Ops Weather Team and Tactical Air Control Party. Each one has its different uses and they are important on and off the battle field. Another career they offer is a Chaplain officer. A Chaplain officer is a religious officer and helps people fight through the war. There are many careers offered in the Air Force.
